The authors of this site are former auto refinance senior level managers who worked at HSBC Auto Finance. We are "insiders" who are willing to give you our unfiltered opinions and best recommendations. The goal of this site is to educate you about the application process, loan requirements, answer questions, and recommend reputable car refinance lenders. Our insights, refinance tips, and recommendations will help you become more informed about auto refinance and help you save money.

We left the auto refinance industry when HSBC decided to stop making auto loan refinance loans in August 2008 when its CEO decided to exit much of the US consumer market. At the time HSBC was the largest refi company with over $1B in auto refinance receivables.

The purpose of this site is to educate consumers about auto refinance
We got involved with this project because their isn't very much information about refinancing an auto loan and to write reviews on auto refinance lenders. Our experience has taught us that this type of refinance is just not top of mind for most consumers. That is because it is not promoted very much. This is too bad because the consumer has a lot to gain and really nothing to lose.

If you have an existing car loan, then consider doing an auto refinance. It is a great way to put money back into your budget. The process is relatively easy and quite fast compared to a mortgage refinance. Plus it doesn't involve any out of pocket costs. Those who qualify lower their rate and/or monthly payment, and put money back into their pockets with little effort required.

In our opinion, we feel that an auto refinance loan is a great financial instrument that benefits consumers who are making steady payments on their existing car loan. Consumers can save hundreds of dollars, if not thousands of dollars, over the course of their auto loan. We have recommended lenders who can help.
